How It Works

Build your team. Lock in your players. Compete for the crown.

No official team required. No coach required. Just bring your best three.

Who Can Register?

Parents

Your athlete already has a group of friends ready to compete?

A parent can start the team, choose the team color, and invite each player to register.

No coach or official organization is required.

Start a Team

Coaches

Coaches can register a group of players from an existing school, club, travel, recreation, or community team.

Bring a smaller group and let them compete together in the Metro 3V3 format.

Register My Players

Teams may be all boys, all girls, or co-ed. Players may mix ages as long as everyone falls within the same division.

Metro Rise Division

Grades 2nd to 5th

Metro Next Division

Grades 6th to Rising 9th

Registration must be started and approved by a parent, guardian, or coach.

How the Competition Works.

Round One

Pool Play

  • 18 Teams
  • 3 Pools of 6
  • 2 Five-Minute Rounds

18 teams are divided into three pools of six.

Each pool competes in two five-minute continuous rounds.

Three teams begin on the court while the rest rotate in immediately after a loss.

The top three teams from each pool advance.

Round Two

Mixed Elimination

  • 9 Teams
  • 3 New Groups
  • 3 Teams Advance

The nine advancing teams leave their original pools and are placed into three new groups.

Teams are mixed with qualifiers from the other pools to create new matchups.

Each group competes in one five-minute elimination round.

Only one team from each group advances.

Final Round

The Final Three

  • 3 Teams
  • 1 Final Round
  • 1 Champion

The final three teams compete in one continuous championship round.

Win the matchup. Keep the ball. Attack the opposite end.

One team leaves as the Metro 3V3 champion.

Win and Stay. Lose and Rotate.

Three teams occupy the full court.

One team begins in the middle, with one team at each basket.

The winning team keeps the ball and attacks the opposite end.

The losing team rotates off, and the next team steps on immediately.

No timeouts. No long breaks. No hiding.

Hoopers Only.

All boys. All girls. Co-ed. Friends, teammates, school players, travel players, and community hoopers are all welcome.

If you believe your three can compete against anybody, bring them.

There's nowhere to hide in continuous threes.

You have your three. Now lock them in.

Start the team, claim your color, and send the registration link to your players. Spots are limited to 18 teams per division.

Once all 18 team colors in a division are claimed, registration moves to the waitlist.
